About the Author
Kristin J. Anderson is Professor of Psychology at the University of Houston-Downtown. She earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Anderson's research explores subtle prejudice and discrimination. Anderson's scholarship has appeared in journals such as Sex Roles, Psychology of Women Quarterly, Journal of Language and Social Psychology, and the Journal of Latinos and Education. She blogs for Psychology Today and Cambridge University Press.

This is an incredibly well-researched book packed with statistics, insights, and important questions for our time. After spending just one hour diving into the contents, so much in my world became instantly clearer. Shortly after reading the book, I met a friend for dinner who works in the corporate arena and tested some of the data points on her. Everything was spot on with her own experiences and observations. I suspect this book will influence my thinking, actions, and what I teach my own children for years to come. Thank you, Kristin, for producing such an important piece of work.
