Surprisingly entertaining and informative.

I used this book in a graduate class at Drexel Univerity and quickly realized that I didn't know as much as I thought I did about the internet. I found this source technical and detailed and surprisingly an easy read.

A very good source for some obscure Internet services

I borrowed my office mate's copy when I was taking a networking course. This book contained information on Newsgroups, Archie, Anonymous FTP, telnet, pine, and Bitnet that I couldn't find elsewhere in a very readable and understandable style. I plan to buy this book for myself.In addition I will look at other books written by this author.
