Cogent presentation of important issues

Mr. Valentine cuts through much of the rhetoric to discuss healthcare crisis aspects which are rarely addressed in the media. He highlights the waste in our system which could be reduced or eliminated with broader implementation of electronic health records (EHRs). Additionally, EHRs can significantly improve patient safety. Mr. Valentine presents an excellent argument for federal support of medical innovation where America has previously excelled but now is faltering due to funding cuts. He also addresses one of my favorite issues: America's excellent colleges and universities educate the brightest and best from many other nations, but upon completion of their graduate studies we require they leave the USA. This is a tremendous loss to our business communities, as well as to our universities. We need immigrants for our workforce in America, and we could develop more effective ways to welcome them and retain their talents.
